More to come…

Neighbors then, neighbors now. Jennifer, Grant and I all grew up in a small town in the foothills not far from Sacramento. We went to the same high school, swam in the same river and drove the same potholed roads. Although we didn’t know each other coming up, we were neighbors in the sense that a small tight-knit community makes everyone living in it neighbors. Experiences are shared even if you don’t necessarily know everyone participating.
When the time came to photograph their engagement session, it made sense that Jennifer and Grant would want their session to revolve around their new neighborhood in Sacramento. A tight circumference was covered and included their home where flower beds are tended, where Grant built a rustic bench for Jennifer, where they’ve made a home with their pup, Teddy. It is fantastic to once again share a community with Jennifer and Grant and to be able to count them as one of my neighbors. Congrats you two.

Stevie and Joe married along the Sacramento Delta at the amazing Grand Island Mansion. There were some very cool personal touches including a custom birdhouse handmade by Stevie’s dad. He smartly left the roof shingles unfinished at the very top to also act as a box for guests to place their wedding cards for the couple. Afterward, he said he’d finish the roof effectively turning it into a home for a lucky feathered family in Stevie and Joe’s backyard. Well done, all.
